With an RT64 pickup at the bridge for an edgy attack and a large double coil at the neck delivering a full rounded smooth, weighty response via individual volume and tone controls and 3-way selector, the natural semi-acoustic tonal characteristics of this delightful twin cutaway maple constructed, big bodied bass are upfront and plentiful.
The MUD4 delivers an outstanding size-defying tonal output, with impressive sustain and clarity. Based on the vintage ‘Mudbucker’ but without ‘Mud’… and the MH4 is its bridge position counterpart for a classic ‘60s’ bass combination.
The maple neck and 22 fret, bound jatoba fingerboard with dot inlays offer superb playability, whilst smooth operative Wilkinson tuners, a precision-cut GraphTech nut and a fully adjustable sturdy chrome bridge enrich the low frequency sustain.
